About Us

In 2018 Hayley Needs combined her on-site plumbing experience, professional prowess and parenting knowledge to create a set of inclusive vocational learning opportunities for the home ed community as a direct response to a lack of skilled tradespeople within the local community.

In 2021 high demand, evidence of countless benefits and an obvious need for more hands-on learning opportunities within the UK education system led to the re-prioritisation and re-structuring of the organisation into a Community Interest Company. 

Since then Plumb Learning CIC has delivered workshops at national museums, festivals and events across the UK.  Workshops, short courses and longer term provisions in schools, academies, specialist schools and to home educated families.  We have successfully supported young people struggling with low self-esteem, anxiety and SEN through the Plumb Learning personal tuition program and been endorsed and awarded funding from Calderdale Council.

Our outstanding reputation for excellence and originality has led to waiting lists full of eager learners reaching from South Devon to Edinburgh.
