Plumb Learning specialises in providing hands-on plumbing workshops for childen and young people aged 6 to 16.  We believe in the power and potential of plumbing not just as a trade, but as a cornerstone for lifelong learning and success. In today’s rapidly evolving job market, the demand for skilled tradespeople has never been higher. Plumbing, with its critical role in maintaining the health and safety of our communities, stands out as a profession where the skills gap is particularly pronounced. This gap presents an unparalleled opportunity for young individuals to step into rewarding careers that offer not only excellent wages but also job security and the satisfaction of making a tangible difference.

But the benefits of learning plumbing extend far beyond the technical know-how of fixing pipes and installing fixtures. Our workshops are designed to equip children and young people with a plethora of soft skills that are indispensable in life.

Plumb Learning workshops are super engaging and LOADS OF FUN!

Through the hands-on experience of plumbing, participants develop problem-solving skills, resilience, and adaptability. They learn the value of hard work, attention to detail, and the importance of teamwork and communication.

Plumbing is unique in its accessibility, the many opportunities it provides for tangible evidence of the a student’s ability and achievement and offers real world application for learning that can otherwise seem abstract.

Our workshops foster creativity and innovation, encouraging young minds to think outside the box and find efficient solutions to complex challenges.

Students will use professional tools and materials to learn the basics of domestic plumbing through a series of small achievable goals.

Topics include:

  • Using Hand Power Tools
  • Pipework
  • Valves
  • Hanging and Dressing Radiators
  • Sinks and Taps

These workshops are brilliantly designed.  There is a sense of achievement every step and I’ve never seen anything like them before.  Very clever idea and a brilliant team to work with!
