How it works

Anyone can train as a Plumb Learning CIC workshop leader. You don’t need to be a qualified plumber or have any prior teaching experience. We’re looking for diverse individuals who want to make a positive impact in their community by empowering young people aged 6 to 16 with practical skills and confidence through hands-on plumbing workshops.

The Plumb Learning training is designed to support YOU in stepping into leadership with confidence and purpose, no matter your starting point.

Why it’s so special

Our courses and workshops focus on small, achievable goals, using professional tools and materials, giving learners tangible evidence of their growing skills. The same confidence and practical abilities you’ll instil in your students are first developed in you through our comprehensive training program.

Plumb Learning Community Leader training delves into the importance of respectful communication, proven ways to fully engage a young person in a task and how to be a leader within your community.  You’ll learn how to confidently tackle common domestic plumbing problems, while also building the skills to guide and inspire young people.

Our training prepares you to lead small groups inclusive of children aged 6 to 16 with and without SEND and SEMH.
